FSP Synthesis of an off-set five bar-slider mechanism with variable topology

ABSTRACT: A method to synthesize an off-set five-bar slider mechanism with variable topology is suggested. Synthesis is carried out in two phases for function generation for three finitely separated positions in phase-I and two finitely separated positions in phase-II. A dyadic complex number method is used to write the equations of motions. Numerical examples are provided.
